A classic vintage Omega Genève Automatic Date, reference 166.041, dating from the late 1960s/early 1970s. This understated vintage Omega features a clean silver-toned dial with applied baton hour markers, gold-tone hands and a framed date aperture at 3 o’clock.
 
The watch is powered by Omega’s automatic Calibre 565 movement, a well-regarded vintage Omega movement with a date function. The reference 166.041 is typically found with a compact stainless-steel tonneau-style case measuring approximately 34mm across, giving it a distinctly vintage proportion and comfortable presence on the wrist.
 
The watch is currently running well. As with any vintage mechanical watch, we recommend that accuracy and service history are considered separately from the fact that the movement is currently running.
 
Condition:
This is a genuine pre-owned vintage watch and shows general signs of age and use, including surface marks and scratches to the case. There is a more noticeable scratch across the caseback, which can be seen clearly in the photographs.
 
The dial remains attractive with some minor signs of age consistent with a watch of this period.
 
The watch is fitted with a replacement third-party black leather-style strap with a pin buckle. The strap is not original to the watch.
